What We List
Every product in GetYourGuide's Inca Trail to Machu Picchu category that walks to Machu Picchu or is sold as an alternative to it: classic four-day treks, short two-day treks, one-day treks, Sacred Valley combinations, Salkantay, Inca Jungle and Lares, and three day hikes on other Inca roads. Day trips by train, tickets alone and city tours are left out.
How We Classify a Trek
- Format
- By what you walk: the whole trail from Km 82, the last sector from Km 104, or another route without a permit.
- Price
- The from-price per person on the listing. Deposits show the deposit and the real total; private tours show the price for the party where we checked it at checkout.
- Order
- Our pick first, then by number of reviews. A deposit price never ranks as cheapest.
- Snapshot
- Prices and ratings were read on 28 September 2026. The partner's calendar is the truth on the day you book.
How We Choose Our Pick
The trek with the most reviews in its format that sells to one traveller, includes a porter and the panoramic train, and has a rating above 4.8. We do not name operators; everything that separates one trek from another is visible in the listing.
